    I had started watching Tom Cruise films after the saga of the scientology rage and the debates over whether or not Suri Cruise, in fact, existed (remember those?) Putting aside his bizarre personal life, he is a remarkable actor. I first saw him when "War of the Worlds" was in theaters. Whether or not the public cares for Tom Cruise's person is moot point. He can make his characters likeable, and I've enjoyed his work.
