MCT:November 14, 2008As long as you don't take it seriously you can have a good laugh as that's what it's aimed to do. One of the better spoof films around but not as good as the 'Scary Movie' saga.

In it's own category it succeeded to make me laugh at some parts and shock in others. I just usually don't like parodies but I recognized many movies they were making fun of so I understood the jokes. I liked the rap music played in the background. I can watch this kind of movies once from TV but not buy them on DVD. Some parts the movie just went a little bit too over the edge so it didn't even made me laugh.

MCT:November 8, 2008Okay, so this movie wasen't completely terrible even though it had all the things that made the other ones terrible like MTV parodies, cheap celebrity look-a-likes, and few movies that actually have to do with the title. Seriously what constitutes as a Date movie anyway? I thought it was romantic comedies (and make no mistake there a few of those here), but according to these guys...EVERY movie is a date movie. It's also full of gross out humor that does nothing but gross you out. Also an over use of Sophia Monk washing a car. There was only ONE reason it was there.
Still there were some good parodies here and they managed to get me to laugh a few times. The acting was decent and I liked Coolidge as Striesand's character. They actually looked alike.
Still does that make this movie watchable? Just barely. It doesn't get the rank of "Worst Spoof I've Ever Seen" (that is still being held by EPIC MOVIE), but it was a close race.
So I don't suggest taking a date to see this movie.

MCT:October 4, 2008Out of all of the spoof movies I've ever seen, this was the worst by far. It wasn't even remotely funny. I couldn't even finish it.

This is a movie of those who like comedy and some unexpected scenes. There is a one fat girl she is waiting for her prince charming but not any man likes fat girl what happens when she becomes beautiful thin pretty girl. Just ok movie.

This movie had its moments. key word MOMENTS! The moments it was funny, were hilarious. Aaron Seltzer and Jason Freidburg just made the wrong choice to spoof romantic movies. That was the problem. NOW EPIC MOVIE, that, was hilarious. It was hilarious throughout!
