MCT:August 9, 2008One of my favorite Jim Carrey movies to date. This is a great remake and Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni make a great couple. I recommend this to any fan of Jim Carrey. Or if you just need a great laugh.

It was cute. About a couple where one quits her job and another gets layed off due to corporate scandel, on the same day. They try to make ends meet, but have a hard time with it. It was a cute movie and I'd recommend it.

Jim Carrey is an interesting actor. He can pull off just about any type of role he's put in. The only problem here is that I don't think they knew exactly what kind of role his character was in. There is comedy, drama, action, and none of it really sticks with the rest. Still, a lot of the jokes work, and it is labeled a comedy, so it's fine. This is a fun movie that can be enjoyed by some, and not by others.

This was a movie that was somewhat hard to sit through at times. The characters were not round enough for me to sympathize with their predicament and justify their turn to crime.

Dick thinking he gets promoted but losing his job while Jane is quitting hers in expectation of plenty of income causes a lot of financial problems for Carrey and Leoni. The movie evolving around that is pretty much based on Carrey's comedy talent, but the plot and ideas leave him out in the cold several times. There are a few really hilarious scenes (the illegal working aliens or the voice scrambler) and the idea with the Spanish speaking kid is just fantastic. Sadly the story doesn't do much all by itself but jump from joke to joke with some of them not working quite that well and the "showdown" heist isn't really worth mentioning. The movie's fast and never boring, but considering it had a Jim Carrey it could have been a lot funnier.

This movie is hilarious. After losing their money, Dick and Jane resort to desperate measures to gain money for themselves, even resorting to robbing banks! Very funny.

Introducción, nudo y desenlace, estos son los únicos elementos del film. Todo tan absolutamente predecible que se hace eterna la espera de la siguiente secuencia.
Tratando de enlazar gag tras gag, aguantando esa sonrisa que se le ha quedado esculpida en la cara desde "La máscara", resulta difícil extraer algo positivo de este producto para cines de centro comercial diseñado para peor gloria de un Jim Carrey al que se le ha acabado el repertorio de muecas. Como sucede con este tipo de producciones, se tragan y se degluten de modo asombrosamente sencillo, cual hamburguesa con ketchup del Burguer de la esquina.
Lo mejor: que en ocasiones hasta te ríes.
Lo peor: que las ocasiones en las que te ríes no merecen la pena. -

Have put this one off for sooo long, but since it was on free broadcast TV, I thought I'd give it a chance. Not all bad, but far from teriffic. Carey pulls his usual faces and sliding around corners, Leoni is a nice addition to the cast and while the story is solid, the execution is all wrong. There are some funny moments, but they are just odd moments here and there. Entertaining enough, but all concerned have done better. And to think that this director also made 'Galaxy Quest'!

A so-so movie that isn't bad but not very good either. The humor was forced and Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni had no chemistry. I bought it at Blockbuster for $3.99 and I feel ripped off.

It wasn't very funny. And Tea Leoni is too good of an actress to be in a movie like this. The only thing I can say for it is the plot didn't end exactly where I thought it would.

The title is a bit simple, and so is the humour. It has some funny moments but it's a comedy that I soon will forget. It's just watchable, nothing more.

Lame & not very funny at all. If you see it on cable it might be not bad or even ok, but if you paid to see it in the theater then I feel bad for you.
