MCT:June 17, 2007Excellent,much better than I had pre-judged it to be.(Teach me to do that again).Anyway You get to see how Hannibal becomes so deranged,a pretty horrible childhood,losing his family in the most unimagineable ways and seeing things no child should see.Defintely worth the watch especially if you have seen Silence of the Lambs and the sequels you will for sure want this to complete the puzzle.

MCT:November 26, 2008Gaspard doesnt disapoint at all. This movie is to the point and satisfies every aspect of an hannibal fan.

MCT:November 23, 2008no way near to Anthony Hopkins' Dr.Lecter, who is much more brilliant, gentle, and psycho.
The young Lecter is more violence and fierce, tats all.
"Hannibal Rising" tends to refer to the previous Lecter film
~the wild boar, the mask, blood licking, and hannibal's hair...~
this is the only thing that remind you, that you are wathing a Lecter film.
Otherwise, you can't see anything relate to previous film, and what you can see, is just a story about a normal serial killer seeking for revenge.

I love this movie. We go deeper into the past of a younger Hannibal Lecter and his evolution into the famous cannibal we all know since Silence of the Lambs. Gaspard Ulliel in his first English speaking film delivers a terrifying and wonderful portrayl of Hannibal during his youth as he seeks revenge on the war crminals who brutally murdered his sister and ate her.

yes, he is a cannibal...
but he is also very intelligent and perceptive.

I loved this movie. I thought it was great to see Harris' book on film. Gaspard was brilliant! I thought he did a tremendous job.

I love this Picture because it all a love a brother has for little sis. I think that it doesn't matter who u are or what your situation is,when it your blood/family all logic is gone.
