Plot: A shockingly amoral couple travel around the country committing murders and become media darlings.
I would've loved to have seen this film in the theater, but at the time when it was released I was only 7 years old. Very trippy.
Raw, provocative violent and controversial piece of cinema from the winning combination of Quentin Tarantino's pen and Oliver Stone's direction. The latter does a great job of driving home his belief that the modern media bears a large responsibility for the moral decay of modern America . Strong performances from Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis, and tremendous support from the ever reliable Robert Downey Jr and Tommy Lee Jones
A film that has aged pretty well. It is about media sensationalism and of course that is still around. This is Oliver Stone's most over the top movie and that is saying something. Also the only movie that featured Rodney Dangerfield in a dramatic role.
This movie made me sick to my stomach. So if you are one of those fanatics that like getting sick when you watch movies you will definitely like this one.
I have friends who consider it as the ultimate film... well. If you put aside the fact that it is totally brain-dead, you may say it is OK. But frankly the overly stylish camera work is more in-you-face provocative than really imaginative.
awsome film gross sick quality bit fucked up all pilied in to 1 2 make an awsome film lol i would recomend it 2 any1 who likes violence nd a film u really hav 2 watch
An early Tarantino script, that totally has Tarantinos touch.
Juliette Lewis and Woody Harrelson are excellent as Mickey and Mallory! Great movie
a wild ride of a film,an unusual film for oliver stone, love the sitcom segment of the movie, and Juliette Lewis fine as always
Hallucinatory and very overrated film about a couple "similar" to Bonnie and Clyde.Stone is overtly...stoned: jumpy cuts, indifferent dialogue, still we get to have the likes of a b-movie and it's fun to see Downey Jr. in a pitch perfect performance.
good story, killer soundtrack. i wish quentin had directed this... but still, interesting disturbing film.
A satirical portrait of mass media and our morbid entertainment. T.V. will fuck your brain, dude (if you let it).
"The wolf don't know why he is a wolf. The deer don't know why he is a deer. God Just made it that way"
creepy isnt it.i could not beleive they killed their camera man. it was a little over the edge, but as long as woody was in the movie he madfe it less dramatic with his charm. the film is alright.
An ultra-violent modern classic, it goes all out with the bloodshed, especially in telling the backstories of the two main characters who, despite being evil personified, we're made to feel sympathy for in the second half of the movie after spending the first half murdering everyone who gets in their way. When in prison for most of the second half of the movie, the TV media glorifying their brutal mudering spree are shown as the real villains of the story as they look for ratings, little knowing that the situation will turn against them when taking their endorsement of the killers one step further.
Woody Harrelson and Juliet Lewis head a cast of misfits in this dark comedy about two sociopathic killers in America. Not for the timid. Hard R rating. Not for kids.

Oliver Stone's amazingly violent love story. The characters in this film are not redeeming in any way, but you find yourself on their side. I wish the film had left out some of the 'trippy' effects. I found them to be a distraction.
Good script, film, actors, direction, backdrop, etc... Just not brilliant. But entertaining all the same.
The first time I ever took acid about four hours into it a bunch of people took me to see this movie.
No Oscar nominations for one of Stone's only two quality films? For Downey Jr.? Come on, people! Get it together!
woody harrelson and juliette lewis are perfect for the role.... and i had my doubts before watching.
