MCT:August 29, 2008Excellent end to the trilogy! Pirates conquer the EITC and the seas are safe (ish) once again! Of course, the whole Will-getting-stabbed-by-the-amazing-tentacled-Davy-Jones part was depressing, but that only shows how much people (like me) care about the movie's characters. Also, the multiple Jacks were priceless, if a bit too much.

This movie is excellent more than excellet its excellentexcellent i think all the pirates of the caribbean movies are great there funny and it has johnny depp which is my favorite actor and it has an awesome cast and crew keira knightly is great orlando bloom is cool and geffory rush is great in this movie too i love this one the most though cause it more funny and theres more action than the other to i recommend all of you who read this to see it now!

One of the best adventure movies filled with action. If you want to see all that - you'll have to watch the whole film. I also recommend you to watch all 3 "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies!!!

Manages to be even longer than the other sequel, throws more convoluted plot-threads into the mix and makes the Jack Sparrow thing even more annoying.
Worth a look once for all the action set pieces, but I won't be re-visiting this anytime soon. -
MCT:August 20, 2008Wait...WHAT?! What happened? All of a sudden all of the fun of the series went out the window with this one. It lacks the shear amount of fun the first 2 films had. I think I laughed/smiled maybe 6 times during the whole film, a complete 180 from the first two which had me smiling constantly. Now while the 2nd one might have lacked the quality of the 1st it was still hella FUN! But not so here...they are trying to shove too much into one film here (yes, very similar to what Spidey 3 had problems with), which is weird considering the hinting at a 4th movie. Why not just save some of the unnecessary stuff for the 4th movie? But the things I really hated: They made a HUGE deal about having to go and get Jack from Davy Jones' Locker but they found him with almost NO effort and Davy Jones himself (who was extremely menacing, scary, and creepy in the 2nd film) all of a sudden is someone's lapdog?? Basically being completely complacent with whatever is asked of him?? Some lovesick puppy? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I understand why he would be but damn....what a way to completely KILL a character's tone. Let me not even get started with the multiple Jack Sparrow nonsense.
I could go on forever about other things that sucked and/or made little to no sense but you probably get the idea...sorely disappointed with this one. The visual effects were good, the writing was okay, but some of the performances grated on my nerves at times...they felt like they were overdoing it just like the movie itself. I don't see how anyone who liked the first 2 could enjoy this one...SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW?!?! -
MCT:August 20, 2008I know I might get some angry people calling me stupid for this but I HATE the Pirates sequels. The Pirates sequels to me are just as bad as the Spider-Man sequels (and yes I HATE Spider-Man 2 get over it) While I might be able to somewhat tolerate Dead Man's Chest, At World's End is a complete joke. The only good scene for me was the closing credits. Everything about this movie was bad and it is really a shame that what started out as a great idea with the original film had to come to such a horrible end with this sad "hey let's just throw some stuff together for an easy 300+ million dollars" lump of crap movie that At World's End is.

i absolutly adore this film, i sat in the cinema the 1st time of watchin number 3 and i wished it would never end. njoyed so much but u cant beat the final battle at the end, it should've won awards. i did feel sorry 4 my friend though cos she cried when will died, and as she was 2 busy drollin over him she never listened 2 when tia dalma said a touch of destiny! the music was fantastic

Great trilogy, great way to end it. The last fighting scene in the whirlpool is awesome. Pirates are cool.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!! THE best out of the 3 and of course, JOHNNY DEPP at his best as the wonderful CAPT. JACK SPARROW!!!! of course, i give credit to all the other actors as well but Johnny definitely shined in this one. this will always be my fave movie. BUT i REALLY hope they make a 4th one. how could they just leave us hanging - ONCE AGAIN - but this time without the guarantee that they're going to make another one???? WE NEED A BETTER ENDING!!!!!

What the hell was up with that ending? Will and Elizabeth don't end up together and Jack loses his ship to Barbossa- it's like a complete reversal of the ending of the first film! So if nothing that's happened over the last three movies resulted in any definable change (besides, ahh, Will becoming an immortal), then WHAT WAS THE BLOODY POINT OF THE WHOLE THING TO BEGIN WITH?!?

AMAZING! Not the best of the three but still FABULOUS! AT some parts I felt like I was watching Harry Potter more than Pirates, but if your watching it for the characters it goes above and beyond.
