Both Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel proved that they both can act very well even though it was coming down to the end of their acting careers together.
Although the acting was good by both actors, the story seems kind of like it was kind of two seperate story's combined into one. With the first half of the movie revolved around the boys and their job at the horn factory and the second half of the movie with them on the boat.
Now, just because the story seemed split, doesn't take anything away from the movie. It was easy to understand and follow, as is every Laurel and Hardy films. But, the main reason that I think that this film is great is because it's just funny. That is one thing that Laurel and Hardy never fail at it, is making people laugh.
I would say that this film was made sort of when Laurel and Hrdy were coming out of their prime, but the thing is, I've always thought that they were in their prime, I don't think that their is one Laurel and Hardy film that I dislike.
