An awfully under-rated remake. It stays true to the original film (mostly) with some great new scenes.
Some great special effects and acting does wonderful justice to the original. If you must see any remake of a classic horror film any time soon, see this one! I actually prefer this version.

THIS WAS VERY VERY VERY GROSS. BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT'S PRETTY ENTERTAINING. I DON'T LIKE THE PART WHEN THE DAD WAS TIED TO A TREE AND THEN SET ON FIRE...I HATED THAT.
This movie terrified me. Alex Aja knows exactly where my fear button is! People need to stop bitching about Alex's movies, they're fucking awesome. He's one of a small handful of directors making worthwhile horror these days.
this is a remake from the 1977 horror classic directed by Wes Craven and i have to say this remake is even more Brutal, gory and more Horror than the original. "The Hills Have Eyes" is the story of a family road trip that goes terrifyingly awry when the travelers become stranded in a government atomic testing zone. Miles from nowhere, the Carters soon realize the seemingly uninhabited wasteland is actually the breeding ground of a blood-thirsty mutant family. And, they are the prey. out of all the horor movies which came out in 2006 i think this has to be the best one. a masterpiece of a horror from director Alexandre Aja.
i think. it wcould have used more gore.. but thats just me. I dont understand why everyone made a huge ordeal out pf the movie either. It didnt scare me or forever scar my mind
Compared to all the other Horror movies coming out this is greatness (I thinking about you Saw & Hostel sequels). Overall a pretty good film. It has its disturbing and gorey moments, which don't take away from the story. And the plot is simple and good.
