In the beginning, its a pretty boring movie. But when you watched for a while, it gets more intresting. If you dont get the story, youre stupid or you just dont get it the chans it deserves

Not used to Jim Carrey as a serious actor but I think he was OK..
The movie however not so much !!

I owned it for a while now and never saw it though,but yesterday my friends and me where in the mood to watch it.All of us found it interesting and we thought that Carrey's acting was brilliant.Good movie!!!

i thoroughly enjoyed this movie. it wasnt at all what i thought it was though. i thought it was about satan, not a nut job. it was still really damn cool!!! i wish i would have that book, seems very good!!! topsy kretts!

I gues someone else has written somethimg simular, but i never would of thought Jim Carrey would be in a film were he isn't climbing out of the bum of a rhino, or wrestling a half dead cow!!!.....BUT HE'S BRILIANT! smart thinking film, and i dare to say most of us were seing 23's for month's after!!! lol

A good odd thriller that makes you think. Jim carrey is really good in this as well, but the ending is dumb and lacking a good climax.

Beautiful movie!!
A different genre for Jim Carrey. Kept me guessing what would happen next.
A wonderful story which I enjoyed very much.
I honestly did not think Jim Carrey could fit the role, but he did. A refreshing change from his usual comedic self, to a more dark and serious person. -

This movie had the potential to be 'brilliant', a fantastic premise by a talented first time writer, a comedic actor desperate to gtain respect as a serious actor and at the helm a director overdue for another 'hit'. But unfortunately, this film ultimately succummed to the lastest trend in Hollywood twists, which I find highly annoying as a film goer.
The ending takes away from an intreging performance from Carey... -

Oh, my God! I never thought Jim Carrey could be so gloomy! He's always making laugh and then he does this and I still get impressed. Love the twist to where he's the maniac.

Probably about the best psychological thriller i've seen in quite sometime. Jim Carey needs to stick with more serious roles. He's just not that funny of a guy.

This was a big disappointment. Clearly they had to spice up the film with sleazy sex scenes and clumsy profanity to keep viewers watching. The plot was in now way gripping and each reference to the number 23 was over reaching. The movie could've been titled after any arbitrary number and it would've been the same unimpressive film. F minus. If you're looking for a movie that will tickle your mind, this is not it.

To the guy who said 'this movie is stupid' - stupid is a vague word, and this is supposed to be a psychological thriller and it was. The number 23 represents the gateway of Walter's inner conflicted manifestations, which later leads him to paranoia.
The movie is actually quite deep if you think beyond the surface. I think Joel Schumacher directed terrificly, he truly brought out the spine movingly craziness within Walter's head.posted 239 days ago -

This movie is not confusing but stupid. I dont know how it got 3 and a half stars from you all. The whole movie was about people being cursed with 23 (not to mention that the preview represented an end the of the world movie) and the strongest theroy ends up being made up in his head. Dont yall get that the whole premise behind the movie was made up. This movie was supposed to be like bible code, the mayan calender, everything then took a stupid turn about 23 chasing him and then it all being fake. I thought this movie wsa going to be deep but turned out to be stupid. Have to admit maybe if not seeing previews the movie might have not been so bad. Good amount of nudity and comedy (laughed a couple times) Give it 2 stars JUST TO BE NICE.
