Nothing as good as the first one.. I think this one could have been a stand alone movie, there wasn't much 'ringing' going on and it only really had a few characters tying it together. However, without having seen the first film (within a recent amount of time) you'd struggle to follow the film properly as it doesn't explain the background of the ring in any detail at all which would confuse people unless they already knew it.

Hideo Nakata can't come remotely close to matching the same level of fear, tension or atmosphere that Verbinski brilliantly crafted into the superb 2002 (American) original, which actually makes sense because there really isn't much of anything to work with here. Also because he apparently just kinda sucks.

What a let down after the first effort. Doesn't make a whole heap of sense which is suprpirsing seeing Nakata had a blank slate to create something special. And what's with the bizarre dear scene?

I couldn't remember if I had seen this one or not. Once I started watching it, it all came back to me. The coolest part was when the deer started attacking them in the car. Samara scrathing the wall was creepy. Sissy Spacek is just creepy too!

wow i have just seen this 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good follow-up/sequel movie...imn not sure which is better this or the 1st 1 because i cannot rememeber the 1st ring movie that well because its been ages since i saw the movie...this is a good Drama, Horror movie but its not really that scary throughout..this has a good cast of actors/actressess in this movie...this is pretty good for a sequel/follow-up movie

Fun movie fact: they actually made three "ringu" films in Japan; two films followed by a prequel. The original plan was to bring all three over, but it didn't come to fruition. Would you like to know why? Because THIS happened.

this is one real hooooooooooorooooooooooooooor movie i loved loved watching......anyone seeing a video tape dies in 7 days,,a simple plot but well developed in the first part...in this one the reason why the tape was created and wht is so mysterious abt it is revealed.....samara(the spirit or whtever..take it ur way)enters Aidan , Rachel's son...how she saves her son from the .... is the plot..and i really really hope a sequel would soon be released

I loved The Ring, so it kills me to have to give The Ring Two such low score. Unfortunately, I have to. It wasn't even slightly scary, the story made little sense, and then they added those ridiculous deer to put the icing on the cake. I like to pretend that The Ring Two never happened.

come out of this crap and go for original Japanese version "ringu 2" so u will get to know the true thrill about the movie.
